s new churches are started there is a great need for well trained pastors. WBM graduated its first class of eighteen pastors in September of 2007. Many of the graduates were active pastors of churches in the mountains around Guaimaca. Although called by God to serve as pastors, they never had the opportunity to study the Bible in a classroom setting.WBM brought many well qualified pastors from the States to teach the Honduran pastors. They were excited to learn many things about the Bible they had never heard before. Many had difficulty finding books of the Bible, and had little understanding of Bible teachings. At the end of two years of classes eighteen of the original twenty two pastors graduated with honors. (See typical class in session and graduating class below.)
Many other pastors, and other men called of God, will begin studying in May of 2008. These men will study under the capable authority of Stateside pastors, Honduran pastors, and other qualified instructors. We are extremely pleased to be able to provide this school for tens of Honduran men whom God has called to service.
Trained and dedicated pastors are needed for churches throughout Honduras. Thousands have come to know Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord through the leadership and ministry of pastors like Roberto, Mingo, Napoleon, and those who have studied in WBM’s Pastor Training program.
The pastor training program is sponsored by individuals, churches, Sunday school classes, and corporate sponsors who understand the need for well trained pastors, and who support the program with their gifts.
