The McCann Letters

Dr. James P. McCann is becoming a regular visiting doctor at Hospital Bautista. He found Hospital Bautista through World Medical Mission and has traveled and served at the hospital and its surrounding areas twice. He is planning to return and is quickly becoming a known face to the staff and locals. It is obvious that God has called Dr. McCann to serve in the medical field and on medical missions. In his time at the hospital we have seen his passion to not only cure or treat people physically, but more importantly to serve the patients spiritually.
What Dr. McCann lacked in abilities with the language was quickly made up with his witty personality and passion to share the Gospel. Patients seemed to be drawn to him as he attended them and were eager to here the message that he desired to share. Because of his willing and selfless spirit, Dr. McCann has been a part of many activities that are not necessarily a common part of a visit to Hospital Bautista and has seen the Lord do mighty things and has learned a lot himself.
After his first visit, Dr. McCann took the time to write down some of the things he learned while on his trip and has shared them with us. We have given these journal entries/letters the title "The McCann Letters." In these letters you will find all kinds of helpful information regarding what to bring on your trip, medicines needed, how things run at the hospital and personal experiences that touched him. We hope that you will take the time to read these letters, will learn from them, and will be encouraged to come and be a part of the ministry yourself. Enjoy your readings and may God bless you!
