Doc Lee's Reflections
MEDICAL
MISSION TRIP
REFLECTIONS
GUAIMACA,
HONDURAS
October
21-29, 2005
We want
to thank all the folk at the Hospital Bautista for allowing us to come
to their facilities and share in their ministry.
We
appreciate all the work and effort they put into making our medical
mission trip meaningful and effective. It was obvious much planning
went into making the clinics successful.
Our
team
(Doc Bill, wife Hattie, Grandson Travis, wife Jennifer) was deeply
touched as we watched 42 come to know the Lord as their Savior after we
showed the Jesus film for Children. We cried at the response as we
prayed with the children.
After
Doc
Bill instructed 29 hospitals personal in CPR, a student had an
opportunity to save the life of a choking child. That is not the entire
story. Adalyd witness to the father and he became a believer in Jesus
Christ. PRAISE THE LORD!
The devil
was busy as the vehicles had some mechanical problems. Travis
(nicknamed MacGyver) helped to solve and repair the varies problems.
The devil was very unhappy as we held all clinics and showings of the
Jesus film as scheduled. GOD IS SO GOOD!
It
was
evident that God had prepared the way with the people before we
arrived. They were receptive, loving, caring and are precious people
that live in the beautiful mountains God had created.
Even
though we have been doing volunteer missions since 1964, it never grows
old. Each experience is rewarding. We sometimes feel selfish as we
always seem to get much more out of the mission trips then we can ever
give.
If
any
good has ever come from our efforts, we give God all the Glory.
