Statement
of Faith
This ministry believes the Bible to be the divinely inspired, inerrant,
infallible Word of God and accepts the Bible to be its final authority
on all matters, including those relating to the faith and practice of
both the Church and the members as individuals. This ministry believes
in the literal Genesis account of creation, a universal flood, the
triune God, the deity of Jesus Christ, a literal and burning Hell,
salvation exclusively by grace through faith apart from works, the
eternal security of the believer, the priesthood of every believer,
love as the motive for all true worship and service, holiness and godly
separation by all believers, baptism by immersion of believers only,
the local and visible Church, and the literal second-coming of Jesus
Christ.
Our Beliefs: God
– We believe there is one God who exits in three persons: the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:4-6;
John 14:5-6; Mark 1:10-11)
Jesus
– We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was
wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a
sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the
grave, and ascended into Heaven. (John 1:1-4; Matthew 1:23;
Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4; Acts 1:11 & 2:22-24; I
Corinthians 15:3-4)
Christ’s
return
– We believe that Christ will literally return to earth.
(Matthew 24:24-28; Luke 17:23-24; John 12:48; I Thessalonians
3:11-13)
Holy Spirit
– We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing
unbelievers of their need of salvation, and is the Comforter and Guide
Who lives in every believer. (Galatians 5:16-18; Romans
8:2,9; Luke 24:45; John 3:6; John 4:21-24; John 6:44; I John
2:26-27)
Bible
– We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error, the
sole authority for life and faith. (Psalm 33:4, 48:14; Mark 13:31; Acts
17:11; II Peter 1:16-21; II Timothy 3:15-17)
Man
– We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image,
but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that
all men are sinners and need salvation. (Genesis 1:26;
Genesis 9:5-6; Romans 3:10, 12, 23; Romans 5:19)
Salvation
– We believe that salvation is a gift received through repentance
toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Titus 3:4-7;
Luke 24: 46-47; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; Acts 4:12, I Corinthians
15: 3-5)
Assurance
- We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure
in the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16, 5:24; I John 5:11-13, Romans
8:38-39, 10:9; II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 1:13-14)
Eternity
– We believe that those persons who die in their sins without Christ
spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins
forgiven through Christ spend eternity in Heaven. (Revelation 20:11-15;
1 Corinthians 15:51-57)
Baptism
– We believe that water baptism is an act of obedience to the command
of Christ and is by immersion after salvation. (Colossians
2:12; Mathew 28:19; Acts 8:12; Matthew 3:16)
Church
– We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with
the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head. (Matthew 21:42; Acts 6:4; Acts 15:2;
I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 11: 2-16; I Corinthians 14:24; 2
Timothy 4:1-2; Hebrews 10:25)
Prayer
– We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the
Lord Jesus Christ. (Genesis 25:21; Psalm 4:3; Psalm 5:1-3;
Matthew 6:9; Luke 6:19; Galatians 4:4; I Timothy 2:1-4)
Evangelism
– We believe that the ministry of evangelism is a responsibility of
both the church and each Christian. (Romans 10:9-15; Acts
1:8; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Peter 3:15).
Government
– We believe in the separation of church and state, but not in
separation of God and government. Christians are salt and
light in society. (Romans 13:1-7; Luke 20:20-26; I Timothy
2:2)
